Outside the Windows
Mom came in with orange Juice, a pill and pretzel too, and all the people in my house, have smiles and things to do.
I watch closely as they smile and look at me and say, “Now you get better fast and rest, then we can go and play”.
I love to lay here in my room, and dream of things to do. I love to watch the trees that wave, with all its branches too.
My Mom she keeps my window clear, so I can see the clouds, the rain, it makes the warmest noise, and lightening cries out loud.
I know it will not hurt me, and I look at it so bright, when others only see themselves, I can see its Light.
Once, I saw a ladybug, and some ants and spiders too.
And in the spring, the robin sings with little ones brand new.
And then the leaves they turn all red, and flowers seem to fade, I look outside at all the colors, outside my window shade.
My family made a snowman; they worked all day to do.
My sister put a carrot nose and I did something too,
I gave the snowman my old hat, I laughed and danced around.
This has been a great day, I heard how snowflakes sound.
I can see the morning rise, and catch the afternoon. I will see the stars tonight, from the windows in my room.
I have a little cold today, and such a runny nose, but I have special magic glass that I can see, on the outside My Windows.
